We had a fantastic stay at a charming country pub in a beautiful village. The location was perfect, nestled near a lovely tea room and river. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make us and our dog feel welcome. The dog-friendly room was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, setting us up for the day. The inn had fantastic staff who were friendly and accommodating. They ensured we were well taken care of and even offered us the option of choosing a football or non-football area to eat in. The location was also lovely, and we enjoyed a nice stroll in the area after dinner. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice and beautifully cooked dishes.
The poached eggs could have been runnier, and the ham on the eggs benedict was a bit too thick.

My recent stay at The Royal Oak Inn was a delightful experience. The beautiful location and charming old pub added to the overall ambiance. The friendly and accommodating senior staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and warm. I especially enjoyed the well-kept selection of beers and the cozy log fires in the evenings. The breakfast spread offered a wide array of cereals, juices, and other options, and the breakfast itself was excellent with plenty of choices. The pub food, although slightly expensive, was still enjoyable. The lovely walks nearby and the quiet atmosphere made for a peaceful night's sleep. I would recommend this hotel for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
